As one of Maine's oldest brands, Harmon's roots began in 1923 when young Ora Belle harvested quahog clams off Higgins Beach in Scarborough, Maine to make clam cakes served at the historic Higgins Beach Inn. Her clam cakes quickly became famous among summer visitors from Boston, Philadelphia and New York, as well as local Mainers.
Today, Harmon's Seafood continues the tradition of Harmon's Clam Cakes by using only the freshest clam and crab meat and other ingredients from the pristine ocean waters of Maine.
Just as Harmon's was when it was born nearly 100 years ago, it is still owned, operated and managed by a hardworking, honest and proud Maine family with decades of experience in the Maine seafood industry.
